“Maar jeet to parinaam , ladna humara kaam hai “
This movie actually deals with how loopholes of a mere indecisive test can be used by authority officials to clear their personal vengeance.
A girl from the village who somehow has left running because of previous personal trauma becomes Rashmi rocket and due to jealousy among teammates led to her ban. How important human relationships are that they can uplift Rashmi to fight back after 4 months and how deadly it can be that it leads to banning Rashmi just to make his daughter win.
Gender test certainly does not differentiates whether the sportsman is a female or a male but only hormonal levels which is naturally possible. Not only how India as a country fails to protect her fastest runner but also maligns her image in front of the whole country. How futile media is in selling a woman’s character that fortunately she has to find herself some major women natural methods to prove her gender.
This movie could have done an amazing job against the unique plot it chose to film. But the direction-writing seems to lose control over the plot. Taapse could have done more justice in molding herself into the female athlete not just physically but mentally.
Priyanshu painfully (yeh bhi theek hai actor ) portrays on how a life partner can hold his wife’s hand, keep patience even if the whole country is against her “gender”.
The movie could have been done way better but still should be given a watch to how we as a responsible country can at least took hold of basic human rights SCIENTIFICALLY.
