In a cleansing routine and in respect of the hot – humid climate of our country, a facewash is something which comes in handy for both male and female.
Now, what is a facewash? Does our skin really need it? What will happen if we don’t use a face wash? Is it worth our money? Which type of facewash do i use? Well, most people out there would probably be happier in their respective bathing soaps or shower gels. But as we all know the skin of the face differs from the skin of the body, there should be a different product for it. Moreover, body soaps tend to dry your face.
I think it’s very logical to remove makeup and buildup of oils and bacteria with a mild cleanser, a gentle rinse with water should be enough to start the day.If this works for you, then no harm is done. It’s not necessary to use a cleanser every time you wash your face, but one can make a ritual of mornings and nights. If u don’t use a facewash I think it will be a gross situation for all over oil and dirt that resides on skin.
One important thing is that cleanser and facewash are both different products but are used for the same purpose. Just the former one is milder and is less foaming than the latter one.
Today I will give u a review of The Jovees Tea Tree Facewash 🌲
What the brand claims
Jovees is an Indian based herbal cosmetic company which was started with a handful of products in September 2004. Today the company has 125 skin, hair, and body products. Jovees is one of those companies which constantly engage themselves in research activities so as to give quality products to us. Tea Tree Oil Control Face Wash contains precious herbs and botanical extracts specially developed exclusively for oily and sensitive skin. It deep cleanses the skin, removes excess oil, and also helps to control acne and pimples.
Packaging
The packaging is simple and fine like most facewashes out there with a tip top cap , in a green tube . It’s fine and out of concern.
Price and Availaibility
120 ml for INR 145
My take on the product
The facewash is in a very light, somewhat transparent, green in color with tiny green granules in it. It provides an average foaming and lathers fine. A pea-size amount is enough for the whole face. It contains tea tree fragrance, which is somewhat refreshing. This facewash can do well for oily skin persons in summers. It gives a sense of washed off oil.
Overall verdict
Yes, this can be a good facewash for the oily people out there but it builds up oil even when I am not going anywhere after some time of its usage. It doesn’t make skin squeaky clean but yes it gives a sense of washed off oil from the face. It claims to have tea tree extract, lemon oil, vitamin-E, and olivem. { Olivem is utilized as a co-emulsifier in moisturizing creams or skin-softening lotions }. But, it is unable to stand on its claim for pimples and oil. The granules present in it are not hard but are soft to be massaged in the skin. After washing, the skin can be felt soft in touch for some time.
I bought it because it was from a highly respected Indian brand which comes at an affordable price but, I don’t think that I will buy it again. I think that it doesn’t stand on what it claims. But it can act as a-ok facewash for normal and combination skin tones. I don’t think that it will do any benefit to dry or sensitive skin ones.
